Mitsuko Maruyama began her studies in the Ohara School with Mme. Suiyo Fujimoto, an Ohara School Grandmaster, in 1971. She continues her studies and affiliation with Mme, Fujimoto today.
For more than 30 years she has been an active member of several Ikebana organizations.
She has been president of the San Francisco Chapter and the Ohara Northern California chapter.
She has demonstrated and exhibited Ikebana at numerous flower shows, including Ohara's Suiyo Flower Club, exhibits at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, the Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco Japan town, Gumps, Macy's and many large ikebana shows presented by Ikebana International. She worked very hard at our North American Regional Conference.
We were delighted to have her demonstrate for our annual Holiday Bazaar.
